"Dancing With the Stars" pro Witney Carson welcomed a baby boy earlier this year and, over the weekend, revealed that she was battling COVID-19 at the same time she was fighting through a 24-hour labor.

In a series of candid Instagram Stories brought on by a spontaneous Q&A session, the 27-year-old admitted she grappled with making her previous health scare public.

"So I've debated sharing this or not ... but yes we did have COVID when Leo was born," Carson revealed, according to screenshots.

The dancer added that she and husband Carson McAllister were not the only family members battling the virus at the time.

Revealing that the two unknowingly spread it to her parents "on Christmas Eve," Carson noted that her mom and dad were robbed of holding their grandchild after he was born.

"They weren't out of quarantine yet and had to meet their grandson for the first time through a window," she lamented, saying it "literally broke my heart into pieces."

The ballroom beauty did not say how she or McAllister contracted COVID-19.

Carson previously detailed Leo's complicated birth in January by writing, "After 24 hours of labor, 2 1/2 hours of pushing, & an unexpected c-section we finally had you in our arms safe."
