Dwayne Johnson gives Navy vet his 'personal custom truck' in heartwarming video
Johnson said he wanted to do "something unforgettable for one fan."
One Navy veteran got the surprise of his lifetime when he got to meet Dwayne Johnson and drive away in the actor's very own truck.
The actor shared a video to Instagram on Wednesday in which he showed up to a fan screening of his new movie, "Red Notice," and gave his personal Ford truck to Oscar Rodriguez, who was in the audience.
"Today was a good day," Johnson wrote in the post's caption, adding that he had been wanting "to do something BIG... something MASSIVE... something unforgettable for one fan."
The "Jungle Cruise" star said his original idea was to give away the Porsche he drove in "Red Notice." After that didn't pan out, he decided to "give away my personal custom truck as the gift."
Johnson said he was "moved" by Rodriguez's story, writing, "Takes care of his 75 year old mom. Personal trainer. Leader at his church. Provides support and meals for women victimized by domestic violence. Proud & humble Navy veteran. Kind human being."
He went on, "Oscar said it right, just before he drove away ~ it's just love. That's all it is, brother. Just love. Go enjoy your new truck dude and Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!"
Rodriguez took to Instagram to share a photo of him with his new ride and to thank Johnson for his generosity, writing, "I have no words to express how blessed and grateful I am."
"Hugging @therock is worth a thousand trucks! I could have gone home content and satisfied knowing I got a BEAR HUG from Dwayne Johnson, A Living Legend," he wrote in another post. "Cheers to you brother."
