Hugh Jackman mourns loss of his beloved dog: 'I always, always called him the ROCKSTAR. Because he was!'
Dali "marched to the beat of his own drum," Jackman wrote.
Hugh Jackman is mourning the loss of his family's dog, Dali.
The actor shared news of his beloved pet's death over the weekend, in an Instagram post featuring two snaps of himself with Dali.
"It's a very sad day for our family," he wrote in the caption. "Dali, our beloved Frenchie, passed away last night. He would've been 12 next month … which I'm told is a long life for this breed."
"I always, always called him the ROCKSTAR. Because he was!" Jackman continued. "He marched to the beat of his own drum, was beloved by the whole world, and boy did he have a good life."
"We will miss him but know he's howling in heaven, ruling the roost and enjoying the all you can eat buffet," he wrote. "RIP Dali Rockstar Jackman. We love you!"
The actor's fans shared their condolences in the comments of the post.
Jackman has shared several photos over the years of Dali with the family's other pup, Allegra.
