Lady Gaga delivered a powerful rendition of the national anthem at President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration on Wednesday.

Following the invocation from Father Leo J. O'Donovan, a longtime friend of the president-elect, Gaga, who campaigned for Biden during the 2020 presidential election, sang "The Star-Spangled Banner."

The Oscar and Grammy award-winning artist said she was "deeply honored" to sing during the inauguration when she was announced as a performer earlier this month.

In a tweet before her performance, she shared, "I will sing during a ceremony, a transition, a moment of change—between POTUS 45 and 46. For me, this has great meaning."

She also stated in a follow-up tweet, "My intention is to acknowledge our past, be healing for our present, and passionate for a future where we work together lovingly."

After Kamala Harris took the oath of office at the inauguration, Jennifer Lopez then delivered a musical performance. She sang "This Land Is Your Land" and "America the Beautiful" and was accompanied by members of the United States Marine Band.

Lopez said part of the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish during her performance.

Joe Biden was then sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. Following Biden's inaugural address, country singer Garth Brooks performed "Amazing Grace."

Several stars will appear in a prime-time special titled "Celebrating America" on Wednesday evening.

The Biden Inaugural Committee previously announced some of the performers for the Tom Hanks-hosted special, including Jon Bon Jovi, John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Kerry Washington and more.

President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris will both deliver remarks during the 90-minute event.

"Celebrating America" will air on ABC at 8:30 p.m. ET.
