The actress, who returned in last week's episode and is back for at least this week's episode, recently opened about how it felt to return to the show for its 18th season, calling it a "fever dream," and dished about her character's future on the series.

"It felt just beautiful and I was so pleased," the 54-year-old actress told reporters, according to Variety.

Walsh said she was equally pleased to learn fans shared her excitement, adding, "For years and years, there wasn't an interview that I've ever done where someone hasn't said, 'So fans are wondering, will you ever go back to Grey's?' And so, I did."

"I think it seems successful," the "Umbrella Academy," alum said."I was very satisfied and delighted by it. And, honestly, that's always been [the thought]: you do this for the fans. One of the great experiences of having been on'Grey's'' way back in the day, when it first began, was this crazy meaning of it being critically acclaimed and being a delight to do as an actor, [while] having mass appeal and having fans just love it."

Walsh also hinted at what's next for her character, teasing that fans will finally see Addison and Amelia's dynamic play out and their reconnecting.""That was a total delight for me, and I think fans will enjoy that, as well" she said ."It's a completely different kind of episode than the first one, but intensely intimate and satisfying."

Addison and Dr. Amelia Shepherd, played by Caterina Scorsone, both appeared on"Private Practice," the"Grey's" spin-off centered onWalsh'ss character that aired from 2007 to 2013.

As for whether we will see Addison beyond her current arc, Walsh said only time will tell."Right now we're just doing a few episodes and we'll see what happens," she teased.
