Keith Urban celebrates wife Nicole Kidman’s 2022 Oscar nomination: 'So proud of you'
Kidman previously won an Oscar for "The Hours" in 2003.
Country superstar Keith Urban took to social media to celebrate Nicole Kidman's best actress Oscar nomination for her performance as Lucille Ball in "Being the Ricardos," posting a screenshot from a FaceTime call between the couple from when the movie was filming.
"CONGRATS on your OSCAR nomination today babygirl!" he wrote. "SO proud of you & all that you poured into this dual role. Lucille AND Lucy. We REALLY lived through it with you on this one, & you gave it EVERYTHING. Here's me FaceTiming you on set back in April 2021. Loving you always."
The celebrity couple has a long history of supporting each other. Kidman frequently shows up at country music-centric award shows when Urban is being honored, and he often accompanies her for red carpet events for her various film and TV projects.
The couple, who married in June 2006, is also known for lavishing each other with sweet social media posts celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and doting on their two daughters, Sunday and Faith.
Kidman will go up against fellow best actress competitors including Jessica Chastain ("The Eyes of Tammy Faye"), Olivia Colman ("The Lost Daughter"), Penélope Cruz ("Parallel Mothers") and Kristen Stewart ("Spencer") at the 2022 Academy Awards on March 27.
This is Kidman's fifth Oscar nomination. She was nominated for "Moulin Rouge!" in 2002, for "Rabbit Hole" in 2011 and for "Lion" in 2017. She won for "The Hours" in 2003.
Kidman isn't the only "Being the Ricardos" star nominated for an Oscar. Javier Bardem is up for best actor for playing Desi Arnaz and J.K. Simmons is up for best supporting actor for playing William Frawley.
