Madonna recently replaced her Instagram feed with a giant red "X" against a black background. Now, she's revealed a little bit more about what it means.
The 60-year-old music legend is coming out with a new project, "Madame X."
She recently shared several posts teasing the upcoming album. In the official YouTube teaser, titled "Welcome to the World of Madame X," the singer can be heard saying, "I decided to call my record 'Madame X.'"
She then describes the qualities of the mysterious Madame X character.
"Madame X is a secret agent traveling around the world. Changing identities. Fighting for freedom. Bringing light to dark places," she shared in a photo posted to Twitter.
The album, her latest since her 13th studio album, "Rebel Heart," in 2015, will include a collaboration with Colombian artist Maluma, titled "Medellin."
The track is expected to be released on April 17, 2019.
