Miley Cyrus fills in for husband Liam Hemsworth at ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ premiere
Miley Cyrus attended the "Isn't It Romantic" premiere on Monday night.
Liam Hemsworth couldn't make the premiere of his latest film "Isn't It Romantic" on Monday night due to undisclosed health reasons, so someone very close to him went in his place.
His wife, Miley Cyrus, attended!
The couple, who were married in December 2018, posted messages of appreciation for one another on social, with Hemsworth expressing how grateful he was for Cyrus standing in for him.
"Sorry I couldn’t make it to the @isntitromantic premier tonight guys. Been dealing with some pretty annoying health stuff the last couple days," he wrote in the post, featuring photos of Miley at the premiere.
"Lucky I have the best girl in the world to represent for me!" he continued. "Thanks for the support babe! I hope everyone enjoys the movie! It’s a perfect Valentine’s Day flick so if ya ain’t got nothin better to do then go see it! Love to all!"
Cyrus also shared several snaps of her red carpet look, a glamorous red Valentino gown, commending her husband for his work on the film in the caption of her post.
"So proud of my hunky hubby @liamhemsworth & his newest movie #IsntItRomantic," she wrote. "He unfortunately wasn’t able to attend due to health reasons... but he is recovering and taking this time to rest / heal."
She explained that actors and actress often want to put their health aside for their work.
"It’s hard for entertainers to put themselves before the project but this time it was crucial," she wrote. "I am proud to represent him and his incredible work. So happy to see him shining in this comedy!"
"He is the funniest person I know, and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day.... luckiest," she added.
In another snap, she posed in front of Hemsworth's movie poster. "Getting sick blows," she wrote. "Get well soon babe. I love you."
Hemsworth's co-star, Rebel Wilson, also shared some snaps from the premiere's red carpet with Cyrus.
Wilson commented on Cyrus stepping in for her husband in the caption of her post.
"In @liamhemsworth ‘s absence, he sent the next best/equal sexiest thing: @mileycyrus," she wrote. "Thanks Miley for being so cool and championing our film. I’m so proud of your hubby!"
Hemsworth's other co-star, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, also commented on Hemsworth's absence at the premiere, according to USA Today.
"He texted us a picture of himself in the hospital this morning," she said. "It's terrible. There's no world he would have missed this otherwise. I wish he was here."
Chopra Jonas also told "GMA" about her excitement in attending the premiere with new husband, Nick Jonas.
"This is the first time in my life that I have ever been on a red carpet with a guy -- like my movie, my work," she said. "And the only other time I've done it was with Nick at the Met Gala, so it's like, some sort of consistency to that."
"GMA" has reached out to Hemsworth for information on his illness and will update if we hear back.
