Nicole Kidman reveals secret to her long-lasting relationship with Keith Urban
In a new interview, the actress spoke about how she met Keith Urban.
As if Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban weren't already #couplegoals, the "Big Little Lies" star just dished on the moment that sealed the deal and made her fall in love with the country singer.
After meeting in 2005, the 52-year-old Academy Award-winning actress went on a date with Urban where he worked up her appetite with a ride through Woodstock, New York, on his Harley Davidson before setting up a romantic picnic.
"I was a goner—I mean, c'mon," Kidman gushed in her cover story for The Wall Street Journal.
A year later the couple married and in the following years grew their family by two with the birth of their daughters Sunday and Faith, who are now 11 and 9. Kidman has 25-year-old Connor Cruise and 27-year-old Isabella Jane with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Kidman and Urban have been together for 14 years, which is basically a lifetime in Hollywood years, and the power couple is still going strong. The key to their long-lasting relationship? Making their family a priority.
Kidman said she "will pass on films" and choose projects based on the location of filming and its proximity to her children's schools during the academic year.
Another factor is her husband's music career.
She explained, "When Keith's not touring, it's much easier. He'll be on tour next year, and then I just don't work as much. Literally—it will become imbalanced, and we will change it. We don't have the answers, but the one thing we do know is that we will not jeopardize us."
