Rihanna wants '3 or 4' kids in the next decade, is fine being a single mom
"That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."
Where does Rihanna see herself in 10 years? The answer to that question is pretty easy: motherhood -- with or without a man by her side.
"I’ll have kids -- three or four of ‘em," the "We Found Love" singer, 32, told British Vogue, getting serious after joking that she would be "ancient" then.
When asked if starting a family would be in the cards even if she hadn’t met the right person yet, Rihanna replied with a simple "hell, yeah."
"They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives," she said, noting how society makes women feel like they somehow got it wrong if they’re alone. "But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."
As for when fans can expect that highly anticipated new album -- dubbed "R9," as it will be her ninth studio album -- Rihanna is remaining mum. That said, it is clearly on the horizon as she is "very aggressively working on music."
The Barbadian business icon isn’t limiting herself either.
"I don’t want my albums to feel like themes. There are no rules. There’s no format. There’s just good music, and if I feel it, I’m putting it out," Rihanna explained. "I feel like I have no boundaries. I’ve done everything -- I’ve done all the hits, I’ve tried every genre -- now I’m just, I’m wide open. I can make anything that I want."
