Shakira's sons, Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7, share the gift of music with their mom.

In her music video for her new song "Acrostico," which was released on Monday, Shakira's sons sing and play the piano with her.

"This year Milan has written songs that brought me to tears of emotion and Sasha has dedicated hours on the piano, discovering his voice," Shakira said. "They both spent time by my side in the studio and upon hearing this song dedicated to them they have asked me to take part."

"They have felt it and performed it by themselves for themselves, with the passion and feeling the music carries within them," she added. "Milan and Sasha, it's so beautiful to see you spread your wings to start realizing your dreams! There is nothing that makes me feel more complete than being your mom."

In the song, Shakira sings about the love she has for her two sons.

In the lyrics, which were translated from Spanish to English, Shakira begins by singing, "You've shown me that love isn't a scam and when it's real it never ends."

She goes on to sing, "All I want is your happiness and to be with you/ Your smile is my weakness/ Loving you serves as an anesthetic to the pain/ it makes me feel better/ I'm here for whatever you need and you came to complete what I am."

Shakira shares her two sons with her ex, former football player Gerard Picqué. The former couple met on the set of the singer's "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" music video in 2010. They announced their split in June 2022.

In November 2022, Shakira and Picqué reached a custody agreement regarding their children.

Shakira opened up to Elle about her "tough split" from Picqué in September 2022, saying that it has been "tough not only for me, but also for my kids."

She called it her "number one mission in life" to protect her kids.
