'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour' concert film is going global
The film is expected to be available in more than 100 countries on Oct. 13.
Taylor Swift's concert film for her massively popular Eras Tour is going global.
Just like the tour itself, the film -- titled "TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR" -- is expanding beyond United States and is now expected to be available in more than 100 countries. It will be available in most countries when it premieres Oct. 13, AMC Theatres announced Tuesday.
"The tour isn't the only thing we're taking worldwide…….. 🌎 Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13!" Swift shared on social media.
Tickets for moviegoers outside North America will start to go on sale beginning Sept. 26, and can be purchased from www.TSTheErasTourFilm.com or on your local theater's website. Ticket prices will vary by country.
"TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR" is already booked in more than 4,000 movie theaters in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, including all AMC locations in the United States.
That number could reach 7,500 as it continues to expand around the world, and includes all ODEON Cinemas locations throughout Europe.
In the less than 24 hours after the concert film was announced on Aug. 31, it shattered AMC's U.S. record for the highest ticket sales revenue during a single day in the business' 103-year history.
