Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson celebrate 35th wedding anniversary: 'Love is everything'
The couple wed on April 30, 1988.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, one of Hollywood's most beloved couples, are toasting to a major relationship milestone.
Wilson marked their 35th anniversary by sharing a photo of her and Hanks celebrating their special day on Sunday.
She wrote on Instagram: "35 years of marriage. April 30, 1988. Love is everything."
In the snap, Wilson is flashing a smile while resting her head on her hand while looking down at a cake Hanks is holding that reads "Happy Anniversary" while he looks lovingly at her.
The couple, both 66, are parents to son Chester "Chet" Hanks, 32, and son Truman Hanks, 27.
Wilson is also stepmom to Hanks' children from a prior marriage to Samantha Lewes -- son Colin Hanks, 45, and daughter Elizabeth Hanks, 40.
When accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2020 Golden Globes, Hanks gave a shoutout to Wilson, who he said "taught me what love is."
He also acknowledged his children, calling them "braver and stronger and wiser than their old man," and added, "I can't tell you how much your love means to me."
