Tributes to Jessica Walter pour in from stars: 'She was a force'

Many actors took to social media to share their memories of Walter on Thursday.

Following the news of Jessica Walter's death, many stars took to social media to mourn the loss and reflect on her incredible career.

The award-winning "Arrested Development" actress died at the age of 80, her daughter, Brooke Bowman, confirmed in a statement to ABC News on Thursday.

In Bowman's statement, she said her mother will live on "through her body of work" and "will also be remembered by many for her wit, class and overall joie de vivre."

Several of Walter's former "Arrested Development" co-stars shared touching tributes shortly after news of her death was announced.

The show's lead star, Jason Bateman, said, "I will forever remember my time with her, watching her bring Lucille Bluth to life."

Will Arnett recalled meeting Walter in 1996 before eventually playing her son on "Arrested Development."

Tony Hale, who played the youngest of Lucille Bluth's sons, called his onscreen mom a "force."

Alia Shawkat shared a photo of Walter with the caption, "💔love you Gangie #jessicawalters."

David Cross, another co-star of Walter's from the famous sitcom about the Bluth family, tweeted: 'I just heard the s----- news about Jessica Walter an absolutely brilliant actress and amazing talent. I consider myself privileged and very lucky to have been able to work with her. Lucille Bluth is one of TV's greatest characters."

Amber Nash, who starred alongside Walter in the FX animated sitcom, "Archer," said she was "so lucky" to have had the chance to work alongside the late actress.

"She was the best of us," Nash wrote. "She would wait for a moment and then blow us all out of the water with the funniest thing you've ever heard. I learned so much from Jessica. A classy gal indeed."

Aisha Tyler, another former co-star of Walter's from "Archer," also penned an emotional tribute.
