Watch Kelsea Ballerini cover Katy Perry's new song

Kelsea Ballerini recently shared an impressive acoustic cover of Katy Perry's new song, "Daisies."

In a video posted to her Instagram account, the 26-year-old artist sings the track from Perry's upcoming fifth studio album while playing her guitar.

"I guess you’re out of your mind until it actually happens // @katyperry 🌼" the country singer captioned her post, using lyrics from the song.

The Grand Ole Opry member's cover even got Perry's stamp of approval: "so pretty 🥺♥️" the singer commented on Ballerini's post.

Perry performed "Daisies" for the “GMA” Summer Concert Series in May.

During her appearance, the singer said the new track is about "going after your dreams and not caring about what anyone thinks about that or if they're too big."

She also told fans to expect her upcoming album, out Aug. 14, to be "full of songs of empowerment and resilience and joy."
