Whitney Houston's hit has officially hit a high note on YouTube.
Whitney Houston's hit "I Will Always Love You" has officially reached 1 billion views on YouTube.
This is the first time a music video from the '90s by a solo artist reached that milestone.
It’s the fourth ‘90s music video overall to reach a billion views, following Guns N’ Roses’ "November Rain," Nirvana’s "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and The Cranberries’ "Zombie."
Dolly Parton originally wrote "I Will Always Love You" in 1973, but it found huge success in 1992 when Houston recorded it for "The Bodyguard" soundtrack.
Houston's version of "I Will Always Love You" won the awards for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 36th Grammy Awards in 1994.
Houston’s version spent 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
