For Gal Gadot, "Wonder Woman 1984" was a family affair.

Not only has she grown super close with new co-star Kristen Wiig and director Patty Jenkins, but her two daughters, 9-year-old Alma and 3-year-old Maya, got to visit the set to see their mom in action.

"It was great. It was really, really great," Gadot told "Good Morning America" on Tuesday. "First of all, it was a very familiar environment for them. They know the cast, they know Patty, they know Patty's family."

"It felt like a second home for all of us," she continued. "But at the end of the day, they come and they see me work, you know?"

Gadot, who of course plays Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the film, then remembered a story about how she showed her youngest a trailer for the new "Wonder Woman" movie. The reaction was priceless.

"She said, 'Oh my god, [mother in Hebrew], you can fly?!' Then you have to explain it's not for real," the 35-year-old former Miss Israel recalled with a big laugh. "But they're very excited and they're very proud."

As for how Gadot connected with newcomer Wiig, who plays Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah in the film, that was a sisterhood at first sight.

"Honestly we had a great connection and Kristen is just an amazing human being," the "Fast & Furious" alum gushed. "She's fun and funny and loving and she has the biggest heart and we clicked."

The same goes for Gadot and Jenkins -- who directed the Oscar-winning 2003 film "Monster" -- back when they met to work on 2017's "Wonder Woman."

"We clicked from the very first time we sat down and talked and we very much see eye-to-eye as far as the way we see life, what we believe in, our set of values, everything," she explained.

Gadot added, "Other than the fact that she is a super brilliant, talented filmmaker and she's the most amazing visionary I've ever got to work with, she's just a great human being and a great friend and I really love her."

What has her most excited about "Wonder Woman 1984" is how audiences will connect with the movie's ideals of hope and love.

"I think that we always aspire to have these values in our lives," Gadot said.

The upcoming "Death on the Nile" star also noted that "it's a huge movie and it's so entertaining and fun and I think we've been missing movies for a long time."

"Wonder Woman 1984" will be available to stream on HBO Max and released in theaters simultaneously on Dec. 25.
