Family who went viral trying to get kids to smile for Christmas photo 'only getting weirder'
It's a Christmas miracle when all the kids look at the camera.
There are no lengths a parent won’t go to get the perfect Christmas photo of the kids.
For the Troyer family, that includes digging up their Halloween costumes to get the kids to look at the camera.
The family went viral last year with their antics of clapping and making high-pitch noises to get the kids to pose for the camera.
And in the words of Mary Dy, aunt of the six kids, it's "only getting weirder."
"We line up the kids at Thanksgiving every year for my mom’s Christmas card picture," Carrye Daum, mom to two of the children in the photo, told "Good Morning America." "She currently has six grandchildren and has made it a tradition to buy them matching Christmas PJs, line them up, and get a good photo for her Christmas card."
The kids pictured from left to right are Abby Eichner, 1, Carter Daum, 4, Hudson Daum, 2, Ben Stockburger, 3, Luke Eichner, 3 and Sophie Stockburger, also 3.
"This year, we couldn’t get the kids to look the same direction so we grabbed our Halloween costumes out of the basement," Daum said. "I am the unicorn and my sister Jenny Stockburger is the gorilla."
It seems the efforts of the Troyer family paid off -- all six kids are looking at the camera -- a parenting version of a Christmas miracle.
