Lasagna mac 'n cheese combines 2 comfort food classics
The new mashup from Stouffer's will rollout this summer.
As comfort food continues to reign supreme at grocery stores amid the pandemic, one brand has combined two beloved pasta dishes for a cheese-filled mashup.
Stouffer's new LasagnaMac combines the frozen food's creamy macaroni and cheese stacked between layers of their classic lasagna with meat sauce.
The brand announced the limited time promotional item will be available online in summer 2021.
"Bringing together two of our best-selling products is a simple way to express the intent of our new marketing campaign, Happyfull," Megan McLaughlin, Stouffer's brand marketing manager said in a statement. "We worked to create a recipe that will make our fans feel both happy and full. LasagnaMac is a great example of how of our innovation is anchored in consumer obsession – and not to mention, it's incredibly delicious."
The new Happyfull campaign that launched earlier this month includes social media and influencer content, where fans can find out more online about how to get a taste of the newest innovation.
Until people can get a taste this summer, one question remains: will eaters opt to dig in with a fork or a spoon?
