9 dogs to follow on Instagram for your daily dose of cuteness

Matt Nelson, 23, is the creator behind two of the most treasured dog accounts on the Internet, Thoughts of Dog and WeRateDogs. Since launching the accounts in 2015 and 2017, Nelson has built a community of more than 15 million followers combined. Below Nelson shares nine dogs he thinks are worth hitting that follow button for.

1. Milo Bennett

All hail the butterfly king! With perhaps the most colorful Instagram on our list, Milo can make your jaw drop without even leaving his backyard.

2. Shortcake

Shortcake was rescued a few years back and hasn’t stopped smiling since.

3. Nelson

Known across the internet as “Walter,” Nelson is a walking meme. His human has leaned into this with their content, to the delight of the entire community. Nelson is a Gen-Z icon changing the world one vroom vroom at a time.

4. Big Poppa

Big Poppa went viral on April 21, 2020, for sitting on his patio, looking very sad, missing the kids in his building he used to play with before COVID-19. He still hasn’t played with them again, but his life beyond the sad post is equally entertaining. And, of course, you have to follow for when he is finally reunited with them.

5. Finn

This one is self-explanatory. Finn has the best hair of any dog or human I’ve ever seen. And before you ask, no, it isn’t actually a wig.

6. Teddy

Teddy is a self-proclaimed heartbreaker. His good looks alone have gotten this pup over 150,000 followers. Teddy and his best friend Rusty make for an exciting pair, and you do not want to miss out on any of their adventures.

7. Dustin

Ah, Dustin, the scooting legend. You may have seen him scoot down his hallway to Lizzo before. We also strongly support every dog having a slightly stumpier Corgi sidekick.

8. Gnocchi

This is actually a well-dressed potato. I’m so sorry but we were asked to only put dog Instagrams on here. Not sure how he snuck in. Pretty embarrassing.

9. Watson and Kiko

Watson and Kiko, absolute legends. You’ve definitely seen their pics without even knowing. They are known for adventures and of course, Watson’s tradebarked hugging. Not sure how they only have 1M followers, that’s like 7.6 billion too few.
