Billie Eilish ditches signature green and black hair for blonde
The Grammy Award-winning singer just did a total hair transformation.
A new era of Billie Eilish is upon us.
The singer has traded in her signature lime green and black straight hair color for a bright blonde locks, layers and bangs.
She revealed the new color and cut, a '70s inspired shag, on Instagram Wednesday.
Eilish initially teased fans on her Instagram Story, writing "Can you guess what color?" She then posted a short video doing a hair flip and smiling at the camera. "Did you guess correctly?" she captioned it.
Eilish's reveal video has over 22 million views with many fans obsessing over her new look.
Actress Skai Jackson shared, "Omggg I love it." While MTV also chimed in jokingly proclaiming, "This is a pop culture emergency."
She also posted a separate photo showing off the new 'do, which immediately set off a frenzy of likes. It had racked up over seven million likes just an hour after Billie posted it.
"We love blonde Billie," artist Brett Gray commented on the look along with many other agreeing.
The "Everything I wanted" hair change came as somewhat of a surprise to many fans as she was still sporting her signature black and green look at Sunday's Grammy Awards show, where she picked up two awards, including record of the year.
However, the 19-year-old did previously promise fans she'd be changing her hair color after the release of her Apple TV+ doc, "The World's a Little Blurry."
Eilish is actually a natural blonde, but through the years she's dyed her strands blue, pink, gray and several other colors.
