Bride spends less than $10 on wedding dress
Fans of thrifting queen Rachel Connealy are loving her viral look on TikTok.
The cost of wedding dresses can be high, but some brides are finding ways to keep cost low.
Take Rachel Connealy for example. Connealy has previously gone viral for snagging two wedding dresses -- one being $3 and another for $5, equaling a grand total of $8.
"I still felt like a princess on my day," Connealy told "GMA." "I guess my own version of what a princess looks like."
When the 26-year-old Florida-based bride posted her wedding dress and the price, it caught the attention of millions -- with some calling out how her bridal style was very similar to Meghan Markle's Givenchy dress worn in 2019 for her wedding with Prince Harry.
Connealy was able to successfully find both dresses through thrift stores and advised other brides looking to do the same and to also look in thrift lingerie sections.
"You go to the wedding dress section of a thrift store and there's these beautiful white silks and vintage lace...and get creative with it," she said.
Due to Connealy saving so much on her own dress, she was able to buy her bridesmaids their dresses.
"For me, I would much rather have an experience than have this dress in a box that I can show my kids in 20 years that they're like, 'That's so out of style,'" she said.
Connealy isn't the only person trying to save money for her big day. The hashtag cheap wedding has over 4.2 million views on TikTok.
Just last week, another bride Kiara Brokenbrough, also went viral when she revealed that she spent $47 on her wedding dress and only $500 on her entire wedding.
"I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a dress, because I had the mindset I’m gonna wear this one time for a few hours," Brokenbrough told "GMA."
