Brooke Shields' daughter Rowan wears her 1998 Golden Globes gown to prom
After over two decades hung up in a closet, Shields' red strapless gown is back.
Brooke Shields' beautiful 1998 Golden Globes ensemble was given new life over the weekend.
Her daughter Rowan was seen wearing the gorgeous red strapless gown actress along with a black Hermes purse.
"The Blue Lagoon" star proudly revealed photos of her 18-year-old daughter wearing the iconic gown along with a sweet message.
"I thought it was a special night when I was nominated for a Golden Globe and wore this dress in 1998, but nothing could have prepared me to see my daughter wearing it to her prom," Shields gushed, calling herself a "proud mama."
The 56-year-old actress also shared three photos -- two of her daughter's big night and a throwback photo.
The first photo shows a smiling Shields and Rowan embracing while the second depicts the teen posing in the ruby red dress. Rowan accessorized her prom look with a black bag, a corsage with canary yellow roses, a gold pendant and a ring on each finger.
The final photo is of Shields wearing the red gown and its matching shawl while walking the red carpet at the 1998 Globes, where she was nominated for best actress in a musical or comedy TV Series. It was her second nomination stemming from her sitcom "Suddenly Susan."
Shields shares daughters Rowan and Grier Hammond, 15, with husband Chris Henchy.
