These DIY Super Bowl-themed nails are a touchdown
Score your own touchdown with these easy DIY Super Bowl nails.
If you're looking to score your own touchdown for your Super Bowl party this year, try out these easy DIY Super Bowl nails.
This football and field-inspired design from Instagram nail artist Bobbie Gossage of New York is perfect for beginners and uses just 3 different colors.
Even if your team isn't in the big game, follow this step-by-step tutorial to be the most fashionable player at the party.
"No matter which team you are rooting for, your nails will be the MVP," Goassage told "Good Morning America."
1. Gather all your supplies
To achieve this look you'll need green, brown, and white nail polish as well as striping tape.
For extra help, you may want to have tweezers and a small striping brush to handle the details.
2. Prepare your nails
Paint your nails with a clear base coat to protect them.
Then, paint two of your nails brown and the rest white.
For Bobbie's look she painted her thumb and ring finger brown and the rest white, but feel free to be creative.
3. Create your 'field'
Lay three pieces of striping tape down across the white nails.
Make sure you press the tape down so it is fully secured.
Paint over the tape with the green nail polish and then remove the tape.
The trick to removing the tape is doing it while the polish is still wet.
4. Make your footballs
On your brown nails, paint on lines to resemble a football.
Use a striping brush or small brush to paint one line vertically down the nail and three lines horizontally across the longer line.
If you're feeling ambitious you can even paint a curved line on the top and bottom of the nail.
Don't worry if you make a mistake, you can always cover it up with brown nail polish and try again.
