How 'Pretty Woman' Julia Roberts achieved her Oscars glow
Her makeup artist tells all.
Julia Roberts closed out the 91st Academy Awards in pristine style and an unstoppable, ageless glow.
For the show, Roberts presented Best Picture in a vibrant pink dress by Elie Saab, gorgeous jewels and a radiance that beamed like pure magic.
While we know Roberts has always been a naturally pretty woman, her makeup artist for the Oscars -- Genevieve Herr -- further enhanced her look in a way that felt fresh.
“Julia’s natural silver look was created to match the silver tones of her jewelry, her classic waved hair and to complement her bright pink dress,” said Herr in a press release.
Herr prepped the 51-year-old actress' skin with a hydrating sheet mask and layered on a rich brightening cream to lock in moisture.
Next, Herr based Roberts' face with hydrating primer and a long-lasting liquid foundation to give her a nice, even skin tone. The MVP product of Roberts' look was the $25 Lancome Le Monochromatique cream-to-powder tint, which gave her cheeks a bright rose-colored flush.
Her eyes were lined and winged out with black eyeliner. They were also played up with a high-low mix of metallic and muted eyeshadows and volumizing mascara.
Herr finished the look by lining the lips with a raspberry-toned lip liner, and a new neutral lipstick slated to launch this spring, called Lancôme Le Mademoiselle Shine in 232 Mademoiselle Plays.
Roberts is a spokesperson for Lancome, and all of the makeup she wore for Oscar's night was from the brand. Her finished face was mesmerizing and we couldn't get enough of it.
Glow on Miss Roberts!
