It's been half a century since Balenciaga has had a couture show, but now, the fashion house is back on the scene in a big way.

Along with the label's long-awaited return, onlookers marveled over seeing a familiar-yet-fresh model: Ella Emhoff.

The 22-year-old blooming runway star, who is also the stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, was spotted in what Balenciaga dubbed "Look #7," a long, black, double-breasted coat, along with an extravagant satin stole.

She also wore her signature round-framed glasses with her hair pulled back.

Emhoff thanked Balenciaga in an Instagram post and also congratulated the house's artistic director Demna Gvasalia.

Shortly after turning heads during this year's presidential inauguration for her stylish look, Emhoff snagged a deal with IMG Models, which is also the agency of supermodels such as Gisele Bündchen, Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls, Ashley Graham and many others.

Emhoff made a New York Fashion Week debut in February panel discussion with Proenza Schouler.

In a note posted to the show's website, Gvasalia elaborated on Balenciaga's 2021 haute couture show saying, "The re-launch of couture line will offer the highest creative and qualitative level of product to our customer, as well as complete my multi-layered vision for Balenciaga the brand, which ranges all the way up from streetwear into conceptual fashion and wardrobe and ultimately into one-of-a-kind, made-to-measure couture pieces."

Gvasalia also confirmed that this season's show was a tribute to the legacy of founder Cristóbal Balenciaga, who left the brand in the late 1960s.

Show attendees included rapper Kanye West, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and more.
