Oscar Nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh Calls Quentin Tarantino a ‘Master'
Jennifer Jason Leigh stars in Tarantino's new film "The Hateful Eight."
— -- With two Oscar nominations under her belt, actress Jennifer Jason Leigh has a lot to celebrate.
But it’s her new role in Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, “The Hateful Eight,” that the actress said was her favorite film experience.
“I loved making the movie so much,” Leigh told “Good Morning America” co-anchor Amy Robach. “I actually had just the best time.”
“Tarantino’s just a master and he has so much enthusiasm and he loves filmmaking in a way that’s just impossible to describe, honestly," she continued.
Leigh is up for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars this year for her role as fugitive Daisy Domergue in Tarantino's bloodbath Western. Co-star Kurt Russell plays the bounty hunter in the film.
Leigh also voiced the main character in "Anomalisa," which has been nominated for Best Animated Feature.
“I was sleeping [during the Oscar nominations],” Leigh admitted. “[I woke up] and I had all these texts and messages from my friends…it was [a] very surprising, sweet and happy morning.”
The 88th Academy Awards will air at 7 p.m. ET on Feb. 28, 2016 on ABC.
