Psychic: Laci Was Hit

G A I N E S V I L L E, Fla., April 29 -- Noreen Renier, a self-proclaimed psychic investigator, says Scott Peterson's mother hired her to help find Laci months before the young woman's body washed ashore on a San Francisco Bay beach.

Renier told ABCNEWS' Good Morning America that Peterson's mother, Jackie, asked her to help them find out what happened to Laci after she went missing Christmas Eve.

She said in order to assist in the psychic sessions, the Peterson family sent her three items of Laci's — an envelope, a sweatshirt and a shoe. Renier, of Gainesville, Fla., said she held on to them to "connect" to the missing pregnant woman.

‘I Saw Her Fall’

"I know it was programmed in my mind just to find Laci, but immediately I saw her in the house and I saw her being hit over the head," Renier said. "Then I saw her fall and I knew that a rug or some sort of wrap was missing from the house," she said.

Renier said she held three psychic sessions for Laci in March, before the bodies of Laci and her unborn baby, Connor, were found. Renier said the location where the bodies were found matched her visions.

"What I saw — I see pictures in my head — I didn't know if it was a bay, I didn't know if it was a large lake or an ocean, and I described the park, the bridge, the bumpy road, the little fingers of water and land comingin," Renier said. "I described that whole area as much as I could," she said.

After her psychic sessions were complete, Renier said she reported her findings to Jackie Peterson, and sent transcripts of her taped sessions to the Modesto police. The Modesto police have not commented on Renier's claims.

Renier said she spoke to Scott Peterson only once when she telephoned for his mother Jackie.

"I told him that I was sorry that his wife was missing and I was hoping to find her for him," Renier said. "He said very little. He didn't ask any questions," she said.

On her Web site, Renier claims that she has been involved in more than 400 police cases around the country. She also claims that she has been very successful in finding missing people and says she has been a guest lecturer at the FBI Academy.
