Report: Jolie and Pitt Expecting Baby
Jan. 11, 2006 — -- People magazine is reporting that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are expecting a child together.
People, which hits stands Friday, features exclusive photographs of a visibly pregnant Jolie, 30, getting off a plane in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with Pitt, 42, and her two children, Maddox and Zahara.
Galina Espinoza, senior editor at People, said a friend who met Jolie at the airport on Monday noticed her bump and asked whether she was expecting. Jolie said she was, adding she was due in the summer. Espinoza said the story was confirmed by both Pitt's and Jolie's representatives.
Jolie is currently filming "The Good Shepherd" with Robert DeNiro and Matt Damon in the Dominican Republic.
The pregnancy report comes one month after Pitt filed papers seeking to adopt Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 1. Jolie petitioned to change the children's last names to Jolie-Pitt.
Pitt and actress Jennifer Aniston announced their separation last January, and Aniston filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce became final in October.
People also reports that Jolie and Pitt continue to consider adopting more children from other countries. Maddox was adopted from Cambodia; Zahara, from Ethiopia.
