Answer: We don't have proof that any of the so called natural remedies are truly effective in treating Alzheimer's disease. There are a number of things which people discuss taking for Alzheimer's, ginkgo biloba is one. Many people believe that tumeric or curcumin, what curry is made from, also is helpful, but there are no clear studies that show that these are helpful in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

There are several very carefully done studies that show that gingko biloba has not been helpful. There are a number of other studies that have shown that there may be some signal of helpfulness in Alzheimer's disease. Nothing right now that looks as powerful for example as even the regular prescription medications that are approved for use by the FDA.
