— -- Question: Is it a major problem if I miss a day or two of radiation treatment?
Answer: Missing one day or even two days in a row over the course of a six-to-eight-week course of radiation really doesn't matter. But we do know from studies that have been done in the past that if radiation is given with a significant stop in the middle -- a week or two weeks -- it actually is less efficient. So we encourage all our patients to try to keep their five-day-per-week schedule.
