-- The Bahamas issued a travel advisory Friday to its citizens who are planning on visiting the U.S. following police shootings that occurred this week in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and St. Paul, Minnesota.
The advisory, which was published on the website for the Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says that the ministry "has taken a note of the recent tensions in some American cities over shootings of young black males by police officers."
The advisory pertains to the entire U.S. but "especially" the "affected cities." It also notes that young males in particular "are asked to exercise extreme caution in affected cities in their interactions with the police."
It advises its citizens, "Do not be confrontational and cooperate" with law enforcement officials.
