TEHRAN, Iran — -- ABC News correspondent Muhammad Lila reports from Iran this week, digging into a changing country few Americans understand.

On Friday, Muhammad Lila headed to the massive afternoon prayers at Tehran University. Five observations:

1. Nothing good comes out of burning things, religious texts or flags.

2. Chants of "Death to America" still ring out.

3. But when it comes to America, clerics say it's political, not personal.

4. Those present agree America has a lot to prove.

5. The religious elite have little trust in Iran's diplomats.
