IDF bombs Beirut 30 times in 2 days
Two waves of Israeli strikes hit the Hezbollah-controlled Dahiya neighborhood of Beirut overnight into Thursday, with Lebanese authorities reporting at least six people killed and 15 others wounded in the attacks.
The Israel Defense Forces had called for residents to evacuate hours before the strikes.
The IDF said Thursday it was targeting a variety of Hezbollah targets in the area, and hit "approximately 30 terror targets" over the past two days.
"These strikes were a part of the IDF's ongoing efforts to dismantle and degrade Hezbollah's military capabilities and the IDF is continuing to strike Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites in the Dahiya area," the force wrote on X.
Lebanese authorities say more than 3,200 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since Oct. 8, 2023.
