Netanyahu holding security consultation after strike hits soccer field
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding a security consultation after a strike originating from Lebanon hit Majdal Shams, a town in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
The strike hit a soccer field in the center of the city, according to an Israeli political source.
"We witnessed great destruction when we arrived at the soccer field, as well as items that were on fire. There were casualties on the grass and the scene was gruesome, we immediately began triage, several casualties were evacuated to local clinics, and our teams were redirected to there. There were further Red Alert sirens while we were on scene, and medical treatment continued throughout," Emergency Services Senior EMT Idan Avshalom said in a statement.
