— -- Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman remains in the confines of a Mexican prison, according to Mexican Secretary of the Interior, Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, who tweeted a photo of the drug lord Friday night in an effort to dispel Internet rumors that he had escaped for a third time.

"Los rumores, una images," Chong wrote in Spanish, which in English, translates to, "For the rumors, an image."

The rumors spread on social media as a result of a fictional article that was posted online earlier in the day.

In the photo, presumably in the prison, Guzman sits at a table in a large space with what appears to be lined with cells.

In the replies to Chong's tweet, Twitter users had fun with the image, creating memes that placed the iconic criminal in a variety of humorous settings including a strip club, and a DJ booth at a nightclub.
