— -- ABC News correspondent Mara Schiavocampo is used to breaking big news on air, but this morning she had some very special news of her own to share — she’s pregnant!

“I’m expecting a baby. I’m right behind Ginger [Zee],” Schiavocampo, 35, said on “Good Morning America” today. “We have a daughter who’s 3. This is our second, and we’re thrilled.”

The glowing mom-to-be says her daughter, Nina, wants “a girl one,” but her husband, Tommie Porter, is rooting for a boy.

“We're calling the baby ‘the sequel’ for now,” Schiavocampo said, adding that her odd pregnancy cravings have already started.

“I'm craving hard candy like crazy,” she explained, but she’s “trying to stay away by eating fruit.”

Other than that, Schiavocampo said, “I feel fantastic, just crazy irritable.”

She couldn’t be happier for the new addition to join their family.

“Becoming a mom is the best thing that ever happened to me,” she explained. “My husband talked me into the first one — I was on the fence — and she is the light of my life. So now I want 50 kids!! I'm just so excited and thrilled and blessed. Can't wait to meet the little guy.”

The happy couple is due in early January.
