Cheetos Introducing 'Sweetos' for Sweet-Toothed Fans
Cheetos is launching "Sweetos," a sweet cinnamon sugar puff snack.
— -- It’s hard to imagine Cheetos without its signature neon orange outside -– but that’s exactly what the brand is doing.
For the first time in its 67-year history, Cheetos is introducing a sweet snack to hit store shelves in mid-February.
“Sweetos,” as the puffs are called, swap the classic cheese flavor for cinnamon sugar.
“We’re always looking for ways to add some playful fun to the snack aisle. So this year – in true Cheetos fashion -– we decided to turn spring snacking on its head with the most unexpected treat in decades,” Frito-Lay’s vice president of marketing Jeff Klein told ABC News. “Move over chocolate bunny, there’s a sweet new snack in town.”
The crisps will only available for a limited time in seven-ounce bags with a suggested retail price of $3.49.
