New Delta Service Helps Celebrities, and the 1 Percent, Avoid Paparazzi at the Airport
It costs the price of a first-class ticket, plus $350 for the special treatment.
— -- Celebrities flying into and out of Los Angeles International Airport will no longer have to worry about paparazzi shots.
Delta announced a new exclusive terminal, where an agent meets them curbside, there are orchids on the exclusive check-in desk, snacks for the taking and -- most importantly -- a paparazzi-proof wall.
An agent will even escort the celebs to a special lounge to wait for their flights. Or escort anyone, for that matter.
“Anyone who buys a ticket is welcome at Delta One at LAX,” Delta vice president Ranjan Goswami said on “Good Morning America.”
It’ll cost you though: the price of a first-class ticket, plus $350 for the special treatment. Delta is rolling out the service in Atlanta and New York, as well.
Plus, when you land, there’s a Porsche to escort you straight from the runway while Delta fetches your luggage.
“We have your bags tagged and we find them while you're waiting in the Porsche,” Goswami said.
Then, in L.A., for example, Delta will have you whisked to a secret location somewhere on Century Boulevard to meet your chauffeur -- no baggage claim or paparazzi to be seen.
