These three roommates from San Luis Obispo, California, are taking a page from Wu-Tang Clan’s book by trying to rake in the singles.

In order to promote their epic garage sale on Sunday, May 24, where they’re selling everything, yes, everything, for only a buck, they knew they had to create an equally epic, or rather, cheesy commercial to help promote it.

“If we’re going to sell everything for a dollar, we’ve got to hype it up,” Nick Shorts, 25, told ABC News of their ridiculous ad that’s gone viral. “We thought, ‘Let’s make this crazy video where we’re yelling the whole time. Let’s just get kind of go nuts.’ It started out as a joke but we just decided to roll with it.”

The kicker, however, is that they’re not just selling mom’s old coffee pot in this sale.

“A snowboard, two TVs, an organ, a lot of furniture like couches and ottomans, and we have this moped,” Shorts said of just a few of the big-ticket items they’re trying to hock.

“It really is financially stupid for us,” he added. “But it’s like, what we do? We’ve just got to get rid of it. Time is of the essence.”

The three friends have lived in this house for the past five years but are moving soon and have to have everything out of it. But it’s not just their stuff that they’re looking to unload.

“We’re all good friends and we’ve been in this house for a long time with other tenants, and people just leave their stuff here,” said Shorts. “So we’re just selling it.”

There’s been about 18 other tenants who’ve left random belongings in the home, but Shorts said they’re all fine with them selling it off.

“We’ve contacted all of them and they’re fine with us selling it,” he said. “They’re just like, ‘Whatever.’”

The guys don’t even care about how much money they’re going to potentially lose on the expensive items because, “We got all this stuff for free anyway,” Shorts quipped.

Their biggest goal for the big sale?

“Just basically have a good time,” he said. “We want to put on music and make it fun for everyone that comes, and just sell our stuff. We expect for all the good stuff to be snatched up pretty fast.”
