— -- As a severe winter storm pummeled Washington, D.C., keeping most indoors, one of the city's beloved residents spent time playing outside and enjoying the snow.

The National Zoo posted video and photos Saturday of its giant panda Tian Tian, an adult male, rolling around in the fresh powder and making what looked to be snow angels.

The 264-pound panda -- whose name means "more and more" -- is also seen throwing snow, rolling down a snow-covered hill, appearing to be having the time of his life.

Not all the pandas were enjoying the storm as much. Bei Bei, born in August, was more cautious, the zoo said.

"Keepers said he wasn’t quite sure what to make of the powdery snow and made his way back inside quickly," the zoo posted on Instagram.
