Virginia Man Takes Off a Shoe for Sleeping Boy

A man at the NAS Oceana Air Show in Virginia Beach, Virginia, was photographed wearing only one of his sneakers while a boy used the other sneaker as a pillow as he slept on the ground nearby.

"My wife and I saw a man with one shoe on," Alan Mosher told ABC News affiliate WVEC in Norfolk, Virgnia. "I thought that was a little strange."

Mosher said he then saw the boy sleeping on the ground. He was unable to speak with the man, whom he assumed was the boy's father.

"To give up your own comfort and be on the tarmac with one shoe all that time is amazing," Mosher told WVEC. "That's one tired kid and a great dad."
