Name recognition is important in any political race, and for John Kasich, the Republican governor of Ohio, getting people to learn -- and pronounce -- his last name has long been a challenge.

Jeb, Donald and Hillary have names are short and famous, and Marco and Bernie can rely on phonics to get their names rolling off the lips of potential voters.

Kasich’s name is an added challenge for someone striving to distinguish himself from the pack.

So, just how do you say it? Kasich shared a trick with ABC News, but for some students in Richmond, Virginia, the struggle is real.
