There are six electoral votes at stake in Kansas in the presidential race. Kansas allows early voting.

Historically, Kansas has been strongly conservative in presidential elections. The state has not voted for a Democrat since 1964. While the state has lost some of its electoral influence as a result of a slower population growth, the state has elected the the eventual president twice in the last four election cycles: George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004.
