— -- Voters in the state of Montana are heading to the polls on Election Day 2016.

There are three electoral votes at stake in Montana in the presidential race. Montana is one of seven states with the minimum three electoral votes.

Montana voters have only backed a Democratic candidate once (Bill Clinton in 1992) in the last 10 presidential elections. In 2008, John McCain defeated Barack Obama by a mere two percent, 49-47.
