I’m pleased to announce that Eva Pilgrim will join ABC News as a correspondent. She will start in New York on January 4th.

Eva is a very talented journalist who has covered countless major national stories including the Amtrak derailment, the Pope's historic US visit, the Sago Mine disaster and Indiana State Fair stage collapse. Additionally, she has won several awards for her investigative journalism including reports on taxi drivers neglecting to pick up people in wheelchairs and members of the military who were being scammed.

Most recently, she was an anchor and reporter at our powerhouse station WPVI in Philadelphia. She previously worked at stations in Charlotte, NC, Bluefield, WV, and Columbia, SC. Eva was born in Seoul, South Korea and, growing up in a military family, moved all around the United States. She attended the University of Florida and University of South Carolina. While at the University of Florida, Eva was a member of the debate team and still loves a good argument. She is a self-proclaimed chemistry nerd. When not at work, she enjoys playing the violin and riding her motorcycle.
