ABC’s ‘The View’ Outperforms CBS’ ‘The Talk’ Across the Board

Year to Year, The View Sees Gains in Total Viewers and Women 25-54

ABCs The View averaged 2.648 million Total Viewers, 476,000 Women 25-54 and 345,000 Women 18-49 during the week of August 1, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. For the 2nd week in a row, The View beat CBS The Talk (2.526 million, 472,000 and 338,000, respectively) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+122,000), Women 25-54 (+4,000) and Women 18-49 (+7,000).  

The View improved over the year-ago week (2.319 million and 458,000, respectively, for w/o 8/3/15) in Total Viewers (+14%) and Women 25-54 (+4%).  In fact, The View has delivered increases on the same week last year in Total Viewers in 22 of the last 23 weeks.  

Season to date, The View is improving in Total Viewers (+4,000 2.758 million vs. 2.754 million) compared to the same point last season.  In addition, The View leads CBS The Talk (2.750 million) by 8,000 Total Viewers.
