“This Week” Turns in Year-To-Year Total Viewer Gains for the 15th Consecutive Week

— -- ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” averaged 3.262 million Total Viewers and 884,000 Adults 25-54 on May 15, 2016, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

“This Week” improved on the same Sunday last year in Total Viewer by double digits (+17% - 3.262 million vs. 2.781 million on 5/17/15). Further, “This Week” has turned in year-to-year Total Viewer gains for the 15th week in a row and in 32 of 34 weeks of the season to-date.

Season to date, “This Week” leads CBS’ “Face the Nation” by 18,000 Adults 25-54 (954,000 vs. 936,000), beating the CBS program for the first time in the key adult news demo at this point of a season in 7 years – since the 2008-09 season.

“This Week” is improving in both Total Viewers (+16% - 3.294 million vs. 2.846 million) and Adults 25-54 (+9% - 954,000 vs. 875,000) versus its year-ago season averages. In fact, “This Week” is drawing its largest overall audience in 17 years and posting its strongest news demo performance in 7 years – since the 1998-99 and 2008-09 seasons, respectively.
