“GMA” Posts Largest Total Viewer Margin Over “Today” in Two Months

“GMA” Grows Week to Week Across All Key Target Demos

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” stood as the morning’s No. 1 newscast in Total Viewers (4.879 million) for the week of October 26, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” outperformed NBC’s “Today” (4.384 million) in Total Viewers, increasing its margin of victory from the previous week (+34% - 495,000 vs. 370,000) to its largest in 2 months – since w/o 8/17/15. In addition, “GMA” has won all 6 weeks of the season to date and has ranked No. 1 in all 44 weeks of the year.

“GMA” delivered week to week increases (4.793 million, 1.599 million and 1.082 million, respectively, for w/o 10/19/15) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+2%), Adults 25-54 (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%). “GMA” hit 4-week highs in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 – since w/o 9/28/15.

On Friday (10/30/15), “GMA” outperformed “Today” on the Halloween show for the 3rd straight year in Total Viewers (+182,000 – 4.686 million vs. 4.504 million).

On Wednesday (10/28/15), “GMA” led NBC’s “Today” head to head by its largest single-day advantage in 3 months (+790,000 - 5.005 million vs. 4.215 million) – since 7/28/15.

Season to date, “GMA” is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, leading “Today” by 410,000 (4.829 million vs. 4.419 million) and taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” defeated “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+46%/+1.529 million), Adults 25-54 (+73%/+706,000) and Adults 18-49 (+65%/+443,000).
