“Nightline” is #1 for the Week in All Key Demos: Total Viewers, Adults 18-49, and Adults 25-54

“Nightline” Grows Week-to-Week in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

ABC News’ “Nightline” scored an across-the-board victory in Total Viewers (1.540 million), Adults 25-54 (682,000) and Adults 18-49 (593,000) during the week of June 1, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” has led in Total Viewers in 29 of the 37 weeks this season. In addition, “Nightline” led CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (+381,000, +230,000 and +249,000, respectively) by its largest margins ever in all three measures.

“Nightline” saw week-to-week increases (1.410 million, 576,000, and 477,000, respectively, on w/o 5/25/15) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+9%), Adults 25-54 (+18%) and Adults 18-49 (+24%). In fact, “Nightline” turned in its best key adult performances since March – since weeks of 3/23/15 and 3/2/15, respectively.

“Nightline’s” Thursday airing (6/4/15) was the week’s No. 1 telecast in all key target demos Total Viewers (1.993 million), Adults 25-54 (979,000) and Adults 18-49 (983,000), beating every telecast of the week of CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” In addition, “Nightline’s” scored its top Adults 18-49 telecast in nearly 2 years (since 6/18/13) and 2nd-best overall in its new time period.

Season to date, ABC News’ “Nightline” ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.676 million), outdelivering CBS’ average of “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”/”The Late Late Show”/”The Talk – After Dark/The Late Late Show with James Corden” (+260,000) and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (+164,000).
